The Choko Beer
Festival 2019

The Annual Choko Beer festival is now in its 12th year. A firm favourite in the Cholsey village calendar as well as raising over £100,000 for African Community Projects through World Vision as well as supporting numerous local organisations and the Local School PTA - an amazing achievement made possible by the fantastic support and warm hearts of our guests and volunteers.

Great Choice of Beers

Great range of real ales, ciders and lagers at the festival. Plus a Gin and Prosecco Bar and a wide selection of soft drink choices.

Fantastic Music

Fantastic line-up of live music. This year we welcome The High and Mighty Band as our Headline Act.

Family Day out

The Choko Beer Festival is a great day out for all the family, with numerous activities and games available to keep the children entertained.

Sponsor the festival

As a fundraising event we rely on the generous support of our sponsors to ensure as much money as possible goes to the organisations we assist.

Frequently asked questions

What are your opening hours?

We open at noon and close at about 11pm

Do I need to buy a ticket before the day?

We got very busy last year, so to keep the wonderful atmosphere of previous events we'll be pre-selling more tickets than in previous years, with a limited number available on the day.

Will you have enough Beer/Cider?

In previous years we've run out of Cask Beer by about 9pm, at which point we switch to good quality bottled ales.

What should we bring?

We provide some seating, but it's a good idea to bring a blanket, or a camping chair. It can get cold in the evening, so bring something warm to wrap up in.

What if it rains?

We've actually been very lucky over the years, last year was sensational weather, but should it rain we have a large marquee, and the Laurence Hall, so we are well equipped to ensure you have a great day come rain or shine.

What food will be available?

As in previous years we'll have a BBQ selling good quality local burgers and sausages, as well as veggie burgers. They'll be home-cooked curry throughout the evening too. We have a range of sandwiches, rolls, cakes and snacks and a selection of soft drinks all day.

Can children attend?

We are a family oriented event, and children are welcome. Under 18's get in free when accompanied with a responsible adult.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, due to the size of the venue, and the nature of the event only guide dogs are allowed.
